Workout Description
a non-sanctioned Weightlifting meet designed to give novices the experience of real weightlifting competition. The competition will consist of 3 maximum attempts at the snatch followed by 3 maximum attempts at the clean and jerk. The competition will proceed according to USAW rules, with the following exception:
1. Weights will be lifted in pounds, not kilos, because….. AMERICA!
2. Lifting sessions will commence 30 minutes after the weigh-in for each session ends.
3. A single referee will preside over the competition
4. Participants do not have to be a member of USAW
Competition is for men and women of all ages. Competitors will compete in the following weight classes:

Event Info:
Medals will be awarded for 1st-3rd place in each weight class. Tentative schedule will be as follows (may change according to # of entries, final schedule will be emailed to all competitors on December 8).
